Full-time, experienced SEPTIC INSTALLATION / CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN with EQUIPMENT OPERATOR EXPERIENCE wanted for residential and commercial septic system projects throughout the Lower Mainland.

The Position:

As a septic installation foreman you will be responsible for supervising the daily activities of a construction site in a safe and productive manner. This will be a hands on leadership role that will also involve the operation of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Read & interpret blueprints and contract documents
  • Plan and coordinate daily activities
  • Supervise and manage crews of 2-4 employees and subcontractors
  • Train & motivate employees
  • Requisition materials and supplies in advance
  • Effectively seek productive methods of completing tasks
  • Ensure quality of work meets contractual specifications
  • Work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Provide layout from working drawings
  • Problem solve through coordination with management and engineering professionals

Requirements:

  • Previous experience operating heavy equipment
  • Experience with perimeter drains, sewage systems or irrigation systems installation.
  • Understanding of safety, shop work practices and use of hand and power tools.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean drivers-abstract.
  • Familiar with grades and the ability to work with pipe lasers and pipe shooting.
  • The ability to work safely around live utilities and do tie ins to existing lines.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills
  • Physically fit and able to provide hands on effort if required
  • Must be safety orientated, self-motivated and work well with others
  • Have good organizational skills and be disciplined

The successful candidate will:

  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Class 3 license or Heavy Endorsement 20.

Job Details:

  • Full time position expecting to start ASAP
  • Work is generally limited to the Lower Mainland area
  • Expected to work 40-50 hours per week
  • Overtime work may be necessary
  • Pay to be based on commensuration, experience is an asset
